In the past many years of my photography career, Dr. Lin has been practicing and teaching long exposure landscape photography. In 2015, Dr. Lin was appointed as the first ambassador of NiSi Filter in USA. Since then, he has been presenting in over 200 seminars, classes and photo outing about filters and long exposure landscape photography in USA, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and many other countries. In early 2020, he was appointed as the education advisor of NiSi Filters, and responsible for training photographers and instructors worldwide in teaching filters and long exposure photography.
This book is not just the fundamental knowledge about filters, but also Dr. Lin’s experience on how to use them creatively to produce outstanding images. In the first half of the book, he will discuss about the basic of commonly use filters in landscape photography, what we need, why they are important, and how to use them efficiently and creatively. In the next half of the book, he will discuss about the subjects for long exposure photography, with the focus on grand landscape, waterscape, seascape and impressionist photography.
