Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG), we will transfer to our hotel in the city. After check-in, you can rest and prepare for the journey ahead.
Days 2–5: Yuanyang Rice Terraces
In the early morning, we will travel by spacious bus to Yuanyang, where our photography adventure begins. Over the following three days, we will explore the magnificent rice terraces of Yuanyang, Honghe, and nearby regions. These include Duoyishu, Maizhai, Laohuzui (Tiger’s Mouth), Bada, Qingkou, Guidong in Leyu Village, Samaba in Baohua Village, Yangliu, and Lvshuge in Jiayin Village. Each terrace offers a unique composition of curves, colors, and reflections — ideal for landscape photography. In addition to the natural beauty, we will visit nearby villages to document the daily lives of the Yi people, China’s seventh-largest ethnic minority group. It is common to see Yi women in their distinctive, vibrant traditional costumes, offering rich opportunities for cultural portraiture and storytelling through images.
Day 6: Yuanyang to Kunming
After capturing the sunrise over the rice terraces, we will return to Kunming and spend the night in the city.
Day 7: Kunming to Fenghuang Ancient Town
We will take a domestic flight from Kunming to Fenghuang in the morning. Upon arrival, we’ll dedicate our day to photographing and exploring Fenghuang Ancient Town. As we stroll through the town, we’ll encounter intricately carved wooden houses, ancient temples, and the vibrant culture of local residents. The tranquil flow of the Tuo River and the surrounding scenery add to the town’s picturesque beauty.

Today, we will travel to Furong Ancient Town, another hidden gem full of cultural and visual richness. Located along the Furong River and nestled between verdant mountains, this ancient town offers a timeless setting for our photography.
